Description
This is a magnifying glass stand to see your soldering iron project more clearly and closely. Uses almost a kilo of filament. This model is designed to use this magnifying glass. I removed the magnifying lens from the handle with a hack saw and the lens came right out.
The only part that requires support is the “Table Mount” part. Here is how I sliced it:
If you find a better way to slice this part, please comment on this model.
To figure out which size mount you should download, measure the thickness of the surface you are mounting this print to. Find the mount size that will fit this thickness. Then subtract the mount size from the surface thickness to find the mount screw size (round up).
For example, my table is 2.5-inch thick. I printed the 3-inch mount which means I need a 0.5-inch screw to fill in the gap. The closest size to this is the 2-inch screw.
P.S. - The mount screw cap adds another 0.15-inch to the screw length, but you need 0.6-inch of the screw to attach it (if your table is 2.5-inch and you use a 3-inch mount, you won't be able to use the cap).
For the Lens Holder:
