Description
One of the biggest pet peeves of mine with all of the enclosed Bambu printers is there rear mounted spool holder. It's hard to get it and pretty much means you can't place the print flat against a rear wall. So I designed my own side spool holder. Yes, I know there are plenty of other versions out there, but they either: didn't fit my requirements, or didn't look that good. I wanted one where the side spool (at least 1kg spools) was completely on the side of the printer and not hanging out the back defeating one of the reasons to move it around to the side of the machine.
I have 2 versions listed: a standard 1kg spool version (fits spools up to 80mm wide) and a 2kg version for 125mm wide Prusament 2kg spools. It might fit other 2kg spools, but there is a lot of variation in those spool sizes.
I have tested this on: X1C, P1S and P1P with vision enclosure. I imagine it will fit the ARC enclosure too, but I haven't tested it. It should also fit all the P1P units with printed side panels, but please post if that's not the case.
Required Parts:
2x m3 x 16mm screws
Optional, but recommended: about 4 or so inches of extra PTFE tubing to go from the rear pfte coupler.
Print Settings:
I recommend printing this with 25% infill and 6 walls/parameters for maximum strength. I printed all my test models with PLA for stiffness.
