Description
A collection of chin mounts for a GoPro and Fox Proframe / Proframe RS helmets.
The chin_mount_flex file is pretty much identical to the original model, I tightened up the fit to the helmet a bit. It will let you set any angle you want on the GoPro.
The chin_mount_zero file then adds a back stop that allows you to repeatably set the angle of the GoPro. It is set to an angle that should give a reasonably middle-of-your-screen horizon.
The remainder of the files then add some variations of that angle, in five degree increments. I did +/- 10 degrees from the zero angle.
I print this in PETG with 100% infill, at 0.2mm layer heights.
V2 Update
V3 Update
I completely rebuilt the model geometry from the sketch to better align the geometry with the build plate, better constrain some of the parameters, and reinforce some of the thin walls.
I've been running the zero degree print on my helmet for a couple of trips now, and it gives a good camera angle for DH riding - little bit of bars and hands visible at the bottom of the field of view, good horizon line.
