Description

I was looking for a glass bottle caddy to print but all those I found looked small and boxy so I've designed this one to be a full size 6 item carrier that in my opinion has a more modern and commercial look.

It is made up of 4 parts, all printed without support and assembled with 5 M3 x 20 screws and nuts for the handle, and a little Super Glue.

The base is printed in the normal orientation and has some location holes on top and two tabs or tangs to fix the handle.

The top is printed upside down, so when assembled the top surface will have the texture of the build plate. It also has square holes to fit the tabs through and location pegs for the holes in the base.

The handle is printed in two halves, one side has recesses for the screw heads and the other has hex shaped recesses for the nuts.

Once printed, check everything fits together nicely. There is clearance in the model for all the parts but depending on your print you may need to ream out the holes in the base and handle with a small drill.

Fit the Top to the base with a little Super Glue around the location holes and then fit the handle together and secure to the tabs on the base.

I printed this with PLA, 3 walls and 10% infill, and its plenty strong enough to carry 6 full wine bottles or drink cans.

NOTE. When I said I wanted a full size caddy, I designed this for a 300mm wide bed, but got a little carried away so when I loaded it into my slicer I found it was actually 316mm wide, so I had to scale it down slightly. It wont be a problem with larger build plates and you'll have to scale it for smaller ones anyway. Just remember to scale all parts by the same factor.
