This is a set of models for hot-swapping the tool head on most articulating (spring-loaded) desk lamps (example links below). This allows for easy swapping between a magnifier and a 3d scanner (etc.) using the standard cold-shoe receptacles. Fusion 360 (.f3d) files are included if you need to remix to fit a specific model.

Note: Some Desk Lamp kits do come with a cold-shoe / ¼" thread adapter.
Printing:
- Very little support is needed (see orange-model Orca photo)
- Clamp + Clamp Pressure Plate should be printed upright as to require no support (and for strength)
- PLA or stronger is recommended
- Adaptive Layer Height can be used with a minimum 0.08mm (for the threaded region).

Assembly:
- The shoe adapter fits in-between the triangle plates at the end of the arm, reusing the clamp + bolt that comes with it.
- A Cold Shoe fits into the upper slot of the adapter.
- ¼" thread is modeled and should suffice, for extra security the 2 outer holes are sized for the most common heat-insert I had that accepts the kit's standard screws.
- For tools with a circular stem (e.g. the magnifier + light combo), use the two-piece clamp. A Cold Shoe Clamp w/ ¼" thread passes through the clamp and the knob adds pressure which causes the flex arms to bend for a friction fit.
