Hanging Triple Frame for 3.5" art tiles

03-22-2024 UPDATE: Thanks to @KimW_1916329 for the idea, I have added new backs, with a thumb hole to aid in sliding the tile in and out.

Printer: Ender 3 Pro modified
Rafts: No
Supports: No
Resolution: .2
Infill: 15%
Filament: PLA

-Print 3 “Frame Top”  - I like to use the “bottom” as it is printing as the front as I have a textured build plate and it makes a great “public” surface. 
-Print 2 “Frame Center Ribbon” 
-Print 1 “Frame End Ribbon”
-Print 1 ring if desired. You could also use any decorative ring

Additional supplies needed: 
-Adhesive that will work with both plastic and cloth. I used E6000 in a very thin layer.
-1.5" wide ribbon the total length you want your hanging. 

-Attach ring to a top loop of the ribbon (I looped the ribbon through the ring and did a fine zigzag with a sewing machine, trim close. 
-Determine position of your frames. Sample is 2" spacing. 
-For the top frame, glue the ribbon in the depression of one of the Frame Center Ribbon backs. The right side should have the recess for the tile going all the way to the edge. Match that on each tile as you put it together. 
-For the center frame, use the other Frame Center Ribbon back.
-For the bottom frame, use the Frame End Ribbon back. Trim the ribbon even with the end of the recess at the bottom. 

-Apply the adhesive along the 3 raised edges on each frame bottom, be careful you stay away from the very inside edge. It is okay (preferred) to get a little adhesive on the ribbon too. Position the top frame pieces on each bottom, making sure they are well lined up before pressing down well.  I have found I do not need to weight these as they dry. 

When cured, you can slip a tile into each frame from the right side. You may have to coax it a little over the first edge of the ribbon.  Hang and enjoy! Switch out tiles as you continue to create.
