Description
I couldn't find a box with a removable lid so I made one. Edit the parameters spreadsheet in parametricbox.FCStd. Made in Freecad because it's completely free, offline, and available on multiple platforms including Linux with none of these being true for Fusion360.
This print needs a well tuned printer! Your printer should have good dimensional accuracy as well as being able to easily bridge. Printed in PETG without supports. For the seal, I printed in TPU with 1 wall and 1 top and bottem layer with 5% infill. Print 4x of the clasps. Use filament for the hinges; it's a tight fit so you might have to tap on the filament to get it in but this way you shouldn't need to use a soldering iron to melt it in place.
Mess around with the latch_tolerance value to get a tighter/looser latching.
Example box interior is 152mmx92mm with a corner radius of 3mm for those that want to print an interior liner. I suggest this as I made the bottom and sides only 2mm for this purpose. Still works great and is decently strong as is though. If my locksport box is printed at 99.5% size, it can fit inside https://www.printables.com/model/454561-compact-locksport-storage-box. I also included an example liner.
