Description

Make your Own aquarium plants with this set of various leaves and bases to create beautiful plants for your aquarium or Fish tank.

Leaves are printed flat. I used a small gas heater blower to mold the leaves once I glued them to the base. You could also mold them before gluing. Also, place leaves in hot water to soften and mold. Be careful with anything hot. :)

Try and reduce infill on base. 0% would be best. The less air in the base the less chance of it floating. That said you can glue a weight to the bottom do help it sink.

Various Bases are available. The rectangle bases come in 2 lengths and either pre-located holes or full-length slots so you have more freedom in placing the leaves.

Gel Glue buy gorilla made from Ethyl 2 Cyanoacrylate is safe in aquariums.

(follow video link below to watch video on assembly)

WARNING: Be careful using any heat to mold the plants. Possibility of burns or damage to prints. Let the glue fully cure and dry before molding and putting plants in the aquarium.

 - 0.2mm layer height was fine.

 - All leaf lengths are on the file name.

 - You can scale model for large plants (Leafe thickness will increase and make it harder to mold)

 - 0% infill ideally to reduce trapped air in the model. Otherwise, weight down buy gluing or fixing weight to the base.

 - Use Aquarium safe filament. PLA is great for molding

 - Use aquarium-safe glue like Ethyl 2 Cyanoacrylate. Gorilla Gel glue is good. Advised my local Aquarium suppliers.
