Description
I own a set of Thrustmaster TPR Rudder pedals, but I'm having trouble keeping them in place while I use them. I've tried various solutions, such as using sticky rubber feet and placing a 45-pound steel block on sticky rubber feet behind them, but they still slip on my bamboo floor. To solve this problem, I designed a set of trusses using OnShape's free Designer/Maker account, which I highly recommend. Who knew that undergraduate engineering classes from 1979 would finally pay off? The multi-coloured diagram shows all the necessary parts, and you must make one of each component except for the Pedal Base Fastening Flange (you need to make four). To assemble the trusses, you'll need the following hardware.
When printing, everything should fit within a 300mm square, like in a K1 Max. The longest part, the Pedal Base Rear, will fit diagonally. I set the length of the entire truss to 440mm from the wall so it fits neatly under my desk. The two pedal bases should be placed under the TPR and secured using the Fastener Flanges. These flanges go on top, please check the photos for reference. I used silicone bumpers to protect the baseboard and provide a bit of non-skid. You can place them wherever you think is best. So far, it works great. If you make one, please share a photo and let me know if it works for you.
I made it with PLA .24 mm layer thickness, and 15% Honeycomb infill.
