Description
A decorative planter/decoration for aquariums.
For those that haven't played Subnautica: Below Zero, this model is based off the “Vent Garden” from that game:) That's a building-sized jellyfish that anchors on the sea floor above a thermal vent- taking in the heat to sustain flora inside of it. *Finally*, you can experience the wonders of the Vent Gardens in the comfort of your own home!
Put plants in the little pot and strap something to the feet to keep it down, and you should have a very unique addition to your aquarium that fish can swim through.
I envisioned the dome to be printed in transparent filament and the spiky decoration in glow-in-the dark. Of course, make sure your filament is safe for your aquarium.
Printing most of the parts is super easy without support. However, the dome is kinda tricky. I managed to print it supportless in vase mode at 48% size as a proof of concept and it actually worked! (30mm/s speed, 0,1mm layer size)
Thank you @CharlieBarber_315813 for submitting the image of it printed in full size and displayed in an aquarium! The other pictures are tests by me.
