Drop-in keyboard case/tray for the Romeo 40% mechanical keyboard kit by Coseyfannitutti
Versions
- One-piece version, if your printer is large enough.
- Two-piece version, for everyone else!
- Each available with or without corner rafts, which prevent lifting. Easy to remove and highly recommended!
Printing
- No supports needed, print flat on the base. Optional rafts for corners included.
- Example printed in PLA, and also tested using PVB.
Assembly
- If printing with corner rafts, these can be easily cut off with a craft knife as they're only one layer thick. Shouldn't require any sanding!
- If printing in two halves, simply clean up the connecting edges, apply your adhesive of choice and press together firmly making sure to align the front and back walls and holding in place before the glue has set.
- PCB fastens down into the case using the existing stand-offs using appropriate flat head M2 bolts. The bolts that come with the Romeo should work but are round head so may protrude a little. In the example photos some cylindrical head bolts are used which also protrude. This is not an issue if you're using any kind of feet under your keyboard.
- Example print is paired with two of these small flat base feet since the bolts do protrude.
