Printing recommendations

• Material: TPU (Shore 95A or similar). Softer TPUs also work but may feel looser.

• Layer height: 0.2 mm is a good balance between detail and print time.

• Perimeters: 3 walls for strength and elasticity.

• Infill: 15–25% (gyroid, grid, or cubic). Most of the strength comes from the walls.

• Top/bottom layers: 4–5 layers.

• Print orientation: Print the cover standing upright or on its back, depending on your slicer preview and bed adhesion. Choose the orientation that gives you clean inner walls and a smooth outer surface.

• Supports: Usually not required if your printer handles moderate overhangs. Enable minimal supports only if your slicer shows problematic areas.

• Speed: Reduce speed for TPU:

  • Walls: ~20–30 mm/s

  • Infill: ~30–40 mm/s

• Cooling: Low to moderate part cooling (too much can reduce layer adhesion in TPU).

Fit and usage notes

• Test fit gently: After printing, flex the cover slightly and slide the remote in from the bottom. TPU will stretch a bit and then hug the remote.

• If the fit is too tight or too loose:

  • Too tight → scale the model to 101–102%.

  • Too loose → scale down slightly to 98–99%. Small scaling changes in TPU make a noticeable difference.

• Cleaning: TPU can be wiped with a damp cloth. Avoid strong solvents.
