Responder Pen - Paramedic Edition (Twisty)

You don't have to be a First Responder filling out call reports or taking patient care notes on your glove to appreciate a good pen! Designed to be as minimal as possible while still being comfortable to write with, the Responder Pen will disappear in your pocket or bag until you need it! 

Materials

• Standard Parker G2 inserts (I am quite partial to Lanier/Monte Verde inserts available on Amazon).  Pull off the rear cap on your insert; this should be easy and reversible!
• Pen spring optional - use if your insert doesn't fit smoothly in the rear cap. 
• PTFE grease or thin lubricating oil.  There are three separate thread starts, make sure to distribute evenly for smooth action! 

To accommodate different materials, tolerances, and printers, I have included several different versions of the rear plug - the 9.9mm version is a perfect fit for PLA printed on my Ender V3 SE. 

Pro tip (for my fellow first responders):

• Use a standard non-gel insert to avoid smearing on your glove or Rite in the Rain note pads!
• The pen has been designed to have slightly more pen tip protruding from the end when fully screwed down to help draw a blood glucose sample from IV needles!

Printing Parameters

• Ender V3 SE, 0.4mm  Nozzle, 0.2mm layers
• Materials: PET or PETG for extra durability
• Orientation - Threaded parts down (tip up for the pen body)
• 20-40% Gyroid Infill
• Wall Thickness: 3-4
• Supports: From build plate only! This prevents any unnecessary cleaning of your threads. 
• No build plate adhesion needed.
