Description
I wanted to relocate the stock fan to have better access for maintenance. I tried many mods and designed new ones. Including TPU ducts, because every available duct deformed on the first layer of a big PETG print. Also any restriction or directional change cause the small 4010 blower to loose significant amount of airflow. Most of the designs caused air leak on the intake side. None of the available designs (including the stock one) take in account the asymmetric airflow of the 4010. Since the whole side is open on the 4010, the exiting airflow is slanted.
This fan setup (single side 4010) had the best overhang test results. Benchmark test: Overhang Test (Regular) (on photo: PLA, stock Creality speed settings, under 28 min.)
I printed these in PETG. Since the arm is far away from any heat source, I guess it will be fine in PLA.
For mounting: 2 pcs. M3x8 mm screws and 2 or 4 washers (depending on thickness)
For the fan: 2 pcs. M2x10 mm (or slightly longer) and 2 pcs. M2 nut (Previously I wrote M4x8 and M3x10 by mistake. Sorry for the inconvenience.)
