This is the fantastic Rugged Box by @whity adapted to the HDZero goggles. It includes enough space to accommodate the expansion bay on the side, in theory (I don't have one to test). Also includes an area for cords, antennas, etc.
You need 6 M3x30 screws for the hinge and latches. Or you can resize them in fusion.
Tips:
- The box is pretty thin, so print it solid if you want any kind of durability. Or you could modify it to be thicker
- The TPU insert is currently ever so slightly too restrictive to use with a stubby antenna on the side closest to the case wall. I solved this by just cutting a hole in the TPU and that made the antenna fit with a little room to spare. You could just modify the CAD file to quickly fix that if you need to
- The logo is not built into the model. I put it in bambuslicer, set the layer height to .2, printed it, and then printed the box on top of it cause I'm broke and I don't have an AMS. Looks flawless. I'm including the SVG file I made out of the logo. I DO NOT OWN ANY RIGHTS NOR AM I AFFILIATED WITH HDZERO IN ANY WAY
- WHY AM I YELLING
- The case needs some foam in the top else everything is going to bounce around inside. If the goggles have some downward pressure, the insert holds it perfectly in place
