Planechase Deck Box - River Song's Diary

Alongside the Doctor Who collection for Magic: The Gathering, 40 new thematic plane cards were introduced for the Planechase game mode, sparking my need to create a case worthy of them.

Any fan of the saga will unmistakably recognize this book, River Song's diary. This box is designed to store 40 plane cards, sleeved only with inner sleeves. A divider is also included.

Detailed instructions for each piece can be found in their descriptions in the files section. No special 3D printer is required.

Assembly

For the multicolor effect of the box, the two white edges must slide through the side rails of the blue box. Make sure you can slide them all the way in before applying any glue.

Once this is done, slide the edges halfway through the rail and then apply cyanoacrylate glue to the ends as shown in the picture.

Finish sliding the edges and apply some pressure until it dries.

Usage

First, insert your cards into the small white box all the way in. Then slide the blue lid over the box containing the cards all the way in.

To open the box, you must press the fingerprint-shaped ellipses on the sides of the box while pulling the blue lid upwards. If you cannot remove the blue lid, apply some pressure to the white sides of the blue lid while pulling it. It's normal for the box to be a bit stiff at first; it will loosen with use.
