Hello,
for those that don't know my ‘insert philosophy’ - I am creating modular inserts that are focused on reducing setup and space on table, filament consumption is not my highest priority, but of course I'm trying to save some material where I can.
Important Notes:
- Of course my main priority was to fit everything in 2 boxes. Orginally I didn't know how many boxes I will need, turns out only two. There is a possibility that everything can be fit inside only one box, but that weeks or even months to properly design miniature holders, so they won't be loose,
- For this insert you need base game and either Deadly Masks or Apocalypse expansion (with Deadly Masks there are 6 minis loose, with Apocalypse you will need to print 2 additional files, but it will reduce loose minis to 1).
Supports:
- vertical storage??? - to be honest - I don't want to try it, base box weights a looooot, but it could be possible if you orient it so the miniatures are on the top, not being squashed by cards or other components. Vertical storage for expansion box works just fine,
- all expansions - and I mean all of them, Rotas, Apocalypse, Deadly Masks, Gaea Reborn, Dread Forge, Seal of Fire, Jukas, Irene,
- sleeves - this is mainly designed for 70 microns sleeves (I use Sloyca). Card holders are pretty tight, so you won't be able to squezze thicker sleeves,
This insert features:
- player component holders - 6 holders for all player related components,
- black rose holder - for components related to black rose and 3d markers,
- separate deck holders for each school - 16 deck holders (17 counting forgotten spells), so you can quickly take 6 of them, place on the table and don't worry about deck falling apart on the table,
- other card holders - there are some other card holders that hopefully will speed up the setup like events, evocations, jinx, equipment etc.,
- tokens holder - one holder to hold them all :D, every token related to game and spells is stored here. I wanted to store them with cards but unfortunately there was no space for that,
- minis holders - with Deadly Masks there are 6 minis loose, with Apocalypse only 1, they are just between other large minis. Please refer to the pictures how to initialy store them, you could also print some stickers to make teardown easier. (If you're going to use Apocalypse box, some of the loose minis from “Minis_Huge_Holder” will go into “Minis_Medium_Holder_3”.
Requirements:
- about 2050g / 2200g (depends whether you choose Apocalypse or Deadly Masks version) of filament (depends on your settings) - yeah, a lot, but that's a pretty big game,
- at least 220mm x 170mm print bed.
Instructions:
Supports - no supports required.
- every file ended with xX (for example x16) - print X times (in given example - 16 times).
- refer to pictures how to organize minis. Minis_Huge_Holder is the trickiest one, you will need to either store them as I do or try other combinations or move some of them to Apocalypse box (with the content of Deadly Masks)),
- only print “Minis_Medium_Holder_3” and “Minis_Medium_Holder_3_Extension” if you decide to go with Apocalypse box.
What future holds:
- I think this insert is pretty much done, I'm only considering redesigning Minis_Huge_Holder to be more rigid and to make teardown a less trickier.
