Eurobox hinge (box lid connector)

The original Part part did not fit on my boxes. I wasn' t able to mount it on the box without it breaking apart. On my box the material perhaps is a little bigger? In addition, it would not have been possible to open it because the diameter was too small.

So I decided to do my own version with two half-shells and a cable tie.

Assambly

To assemble a hinge, 2 half-shells must be printed and a cable tie with a width of 2.5 mm is also required.

The parts are printed upright, the print bed can be filled with them.

To assemble, it is best to place the lid on the box and insert one half-shell.

Next, insert the cable tie

Finally, attach the second half-shell and close the cable tie.

Then, of course, pinch off the cable tie 

The half-shells have a nose at one end and a recess at the other, these must of course be positioned correctly.
