Mini book and parametric display V2 + Photoshop tutorial

When reading an ebook, it's a shame that it can't be displayed in a shelf as an actual book. To solve this, I made this design.

You'll need

• A glass vase. Mine is one of those used to store food. Doesn't matter the size, we will customize it.
• Lots of magnets. I used 5x2, but you can change it in the Solidworks files.

What to change in the files?

1. Choose how many rows of books you want. This will depend on the depth of your vase and the spacing between the books you want. Download the corresponding solidworks file.
2. Change the “outer_diameter” and “inner_diameter” to the ones of your vase.
3. Change the “vase_depth” to the one of your vase and substract 1 mm so the cylinder doesn't touch the bottom.
4. Change the “columns” if your vase is wider and you want more books per row.
5. Change the “spacing” between rows.
6. Change “magnet_diameter” and “magnet_thickness” if yours are different. Bear in mind that you'd probably have to change the “wall_thickness” if your magnet is too thick.

I already provide the  STL of the 3 rows version, which I think is the most pleasing one. And I don't think anyone is going to use more than 4.

Book and covers

The book is a remix from here: https://www.printables.com/model/197996-tiny-secret-book. I changed the proportions to the ones of a sheet of paper, made it solid and added the holes for the magnets, that you can also change in the solid file. However, you cannot change the dimensions of the book itself. Right now it's 40 mm tall.

For the covers I use photoshop, then I print them in 200 grams paper. Here is a tutorial:

Changed the design to just glue it to the lid, easier and better looking. I'll leave both of them so you can choose the one you like. 

Changed the parameters to make them easier to understand. You can change the height, diameter, number of columns per row, and to change the number of rows it's easier to just cut the model in the slicer.

Advice: 

Never, ever, use super glue for the magnets, it produces vapors that stain the glass, the books and everything. Use epoxi.
