Description

This is a remix of thing: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2700231

I found that the original did not leave enough clearance for the inset ptfe fitting that this covers on the top, as well as blocked the idler from fully closing.

Please read Print Settings and Post-Printing sections for additional details.

Print instructions

Print Settings
Printer:

RAILCORE II 300ZL

Rafts: Doesn't Matter

Supports: Yes

Resolution: 0.2

Infill: 20%

Print with something very strong. (PETG, PETG with CF, ASA, Nylon, ETC)

Print the mount UPSIDE DOWN (top of threaded portion on bed). The nut can be printed normally.

Use Supports from Bed Only with a 0.17-0.2 Z separation distance

Print perimeters Inside to Outside for best thread quality

Post-Printing:

Use a razor to clean up the threads.

You'll have to take the Bondtech decal off of the extruder housing so this can sit flat. You can put it on the other side of the Palette mount once attached.

You'll need longer screws to make it through the bracket and extruder to get to the motor threading.

You'l need to remove the black PTFE compression fitting (collet) from the top of the bondtech. It just comes out of the silver ring

To Use:

Insert the rubber grommet that came with the Palette clip into the Knurled Knob and then screw it LOOSLY on to the mount. Insert the guide tube from the Palette and then tighten down the knob until the tube doesn't pop out easily.
