Mercedes W164 B Pillar Trim Caps (front doors)

The little plastic caps that close off the top of the B pillar trim on the front doors of my W164 ML350 Mercedes were missing, and the sole replacement I was able to source at the local dismantlers was disintegrating in my hands while I tried to extract it.  But, enough was left that I could model a replacement/substitute part.  Not perfect but better than the gaping opening that was there before.  

Print in ABS/ASA or PETG but not PLA, it won't hold up in the sun.  I smoothed the visible surface a bit with some acetone on a paper towel and used a little daub of clear adhesive on the back to install.  Test fit in case you need to file a little, what worked on my car may not work on yours.
