Description
There is a lot of dust in my house and the fans of my 3d printer keep dying.
I need to replace them quite often. some people use connector for a quick swap, avoiding the need to open the printer electronics.
But I live in a $#!7y country where these plugs are hard to come by. And I can't leave my home because of the pandemic.
So I made a "warm" swap connector with whatever I had at hand.
You only need 2 M3*5mm flat head.
I also made a cap to avoid short circuit in case that the connector is near a metal piece or another connector.
Q&A
Q-You connected the red wire with the black wire.
A-yes. the fans that I can get are wired backwards. and I prefer to swap the cables in the "warm" connector than open the 3d printer electronics and force the pins out of the plug.
Q-How big are this connector?
A-They are super tiny 13 x 6 x 10 mm
Q-your prints looks like crap
A-yes. the printer is set for strength not for looks. If you want pretty stuff take a look at my other designs.
