Description

This is a gate latch for an iron surface whichdoes not require any screws to mount. Using 2 strong hard disk or hard drive magnets, the latch mounts magnetically adhere to the gate surface. At the same time the iron rod (ikea curtain rod) also adheres to the magnetics so it can stay up but yet still slide down when needed. This gate stopper could be used as a gate latch as well (horizontally).

Please note that this latch will NOT survive large wind or other large forces and impacts.

Magnets are inserted in a friction fit from the bottom of the black mount cubes. You want the magnets to be as close to the gate surface but also far enough away so that the 3d printed wall has strength.The latch rod has to be iron based so that it stays in up or down position.

You need to print atleast two stoppers and one each of the other parts.
