Einstar 3D Scanner Stand

Since most of the objects I scan with my Einstar Scanner are medium-sized, I concluded that creating a Scanner Stand for my manual turntable (lazy susan) would be an ideal solution. This stand will resemble the one used in the EINSCAN-SE (ELITE) V2.

I use it for scanning objects with larger than 0.2mm accuracy because a 0.1mm resolution creates a narrow field of view and requires the scanner to be very close to the turntable. I may consider releasing a stand for 0.1mm resolution in the future.

The current version is designed for printing on a 256x256 build plate, but I am also developing a smaller version specifically suitable for 220x220 beds.

I used extra photography equipment that I had available, but you can find a list of similar items below.

The folders are named according to SCAN ACCURACY - BUILD PLATE SIZE.

Print Settings:

Generic PLA
3 Walls (Perimeters)
4 Top layer
3 Bottom layers
Gyroid Infill
20% Infill

Print orientation:

Base - Orient it upside down, flat and on a 45 degree angle.
Handle - Print it upside down, I used support for the holes (I usually do).
Mount - Flat, no supports. I oriented it 90 degree but it's up to you.
Stand - Although you have the freedom to choose the printing orientation for the stand, I strongly recommend printing it on the side and with support. This particular orientation will significantly enhance the strength of the part and ensure a smooth fit for the handle.

Notes:

If you prefer not to, feel free to skip using the super glue to attach the turntable to the stand, as long as you are confident that your scanner is secure and won't fall.

For attaching the 1/4" Male to 1/4" Male screw adaptor to the handle, you only need one nut. Heat the nut slightly and press it into the hole at the back of the handle. After that, attach the male screw adaptor to it.

Use another nut to secure the Mount to the 1/4" Ball Head Screw.

Insert the handle into the stand and use the ¼ screw to create threads inside each hole. Repeat the process three times to ensure a smooth fit.
