Print tips
- ๐งฉ 2 parts: Main body and โpinโ. Print separately for cleanest finish.
- โฎ Print body left side down. Print pin upside down.
- โจ Support free!
- ๐๏ธ 15% infill
- โ๏ธ Use PETG or ASA filament for UV resistance if exposed to direct sunlight.
- ๐งต Set โSeam Position: Alignedโ for the main body in PrusaSlicer (included in the pre-generated gcode) in order to minimize surface burrs inside the dispenser.
- โ๏ธ Try a raft for the โpinโ if you have issues with bed adhesion
- ๐ฅ DRY YOUR PETG! It will make a smoother surface finish.
Quality Assurance!
While the inside of the dispenser was designed with rounded edges, the printer can still produce rough surface artifacts. Although your prints will be nice and smooth with the above recommendations (dry filament + seam position), it's best to check.
- ๐ Run your finger over the inside of the print. Clean up any burrs with sand paper.
- ๐ก Run a bag through the dispenser, hold it up to the light, ensure no damage.
- ๐ Initially, the pin might be a tight fit. Run it through a couple dozen times and it'll get noticeably looser.
How to mount
- ใฐ๏ธ Zip Ties - perfect for a chain link fence, or for quick/semi-permanent install.
- ๐ฉ #8 wood screws (or smaller)
- โ๏ธ Double sided mounting tape (not recommended)
