Gridfinity Holder for Advanced Innovations Clamping Kit

This is an organizer for the fixture plate/clamping kit sold by YouTuber Joe Pie through his company Advanced Innovations.  These fit the Imperial spec kits with versions for both plate sizes.  It may or may not fit the metric spec kit; feel free to print it and report back, and/or modify the provided stepfile to suit.  Joe has stated that he is planning to discontinue the metric kit anyway.

The holder is a basic rectangle of 1x5 or 1x4 gridfinity squares, with cutouts to fit all of the pieces included in the kits.  I tried to leave room for the clamps to fit without needing to remove the screws if desired.  The remaining space I filled with enough cutouts for all the screws included in the kit, plus in the case of the 8" version, as many additional holes as would fit while still allowing a generous spacing for ease of use by those of the fat-fingered persuasion.

This has cutouts on the bottom to accept 6mmx3mm cylindrical magnets as an option.  They should be a press fit, but they may also be glued in.  It is intended to be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at a 0.2mm layer height, and there are several features in the CAD reflecting this.  It will probably print fine with a larger nozzle and taller layer height, but some minor things may not print 100% correctly.  

If you are using a slicer which has the Arachne perimeter generator set as default (i.e. recent versions of PrusaSlicer/Cura and their derivatives), you will get best results by changing this setting to the “classic” perimeter generator.  The square corners of the cutouts for the clamps and the plate have features intended to force the slicer to make the corners square for best fit.  Arachne will take a shortcut around those corners, negating my efforts to give you the best fit possible.

I printed this out of Polymaker ABS on my Voron 2.4 using a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height, with 2 perimeters and 15% infill.  Even using “easier” filaments on a more typical unenclosed printer, a long model with square corners on the bed will still tend to warp off the build plate at the ends; thus I have included sacrificial “mouse ears” in the CAD to give the ends more surface area to help prevent this.  These should be removed after printing.

[Edit 04MAR24:  I added a smaller version for the kit with the 6" plate.  Also I realized that my 8" plate may be towards the small end of Joe's stated tolerance range, so I widened the cutout slightly to hopefully ensure that everybody's plates will fit.  I can test print the parts, but I can't check them for fit with the plate that YOU received.  If you print this, especially if you print the 6" version, feedback on fit and upload of a make would be greatly appreciated.]
