#0127 Thermocouple Protective Case

Designed and tested to fit the common Type K thermocouples from Omega, but may fit other types as well that are 1 - 1.25mm in diameter.

These thermocouples are expensive but get damaged quite easily and/or easily become a tangled spaghetti mess which is time consuming to undo! This case keeps them stored neatly and safely so they don't get tangled or break. 

Features:

1. Small and round that allows the thermocouple wiring to be wound neatly.
2. Has a contact holster to park the plug end, then wind the rest of the wiring neatly.
3. Designed to fit wire diameters 1 - 1.25mm.
4. Has friction-fit “fingers” at multiple locations to hold the delicate sensor end.
5. The cover rotates to a target point that marks where to open. 
6. The cover rotates to a locked position, where it “clicks” in place.

Printing Recommendations:

1. Use the .3mf with painted seams for best results.
2. 0.2mm layer and 0.4mm nozzle, 15-20% infill.
3. No supports needed.

*** ATTENTION ***

The reel cover and reel body are designed to have a 0.2mm total gap fitment.  For a well-tuned printer, this should work.  

However, when I printed on the factory assembled MK4 with Input Shaper on the Structural speed setting, the parts came out with more “play” than desired - just a bit too loose, so I increased the Extrusion Multiplier to 1.015 (+1.5%), and it fits perfectly!  Your results may vary - so please experiment for the best fit with your printer.

NOTE: I'm not expecting too many downloads of this model, because it's rather technical in nature, but thought I'd share it anyway.  Cheers :-)
