Flashforge Adventurer 5M Toolkit

23 June 2024 - NOTE: Updated model of the insert to accommodate the longer allen keys that are being shipped with new printers.

This tool box holds all the accessories and tools that are shipped with the Flashforge Adventurer 5m and 5m Pro, as well as 2 nozzle assemblies. All parts of the model will fit on the Adventurer 5m build plate. 

The hinges and latches use a total of 6x M3x30mm screws. 

I would recommend printing at .25mm layer height, with 3 perimeters and 4 top/bottom layers. The insert is hollowed as to not use an excessive amount of filament, and needs to be printed upside down (the model should already be in the correct orientation when imported to your slicer). I have found that a 5mm brim helps to ensure reliable printing of the insert, but may not be required. 

The seal for the box should be printed using TPU, but the seal isn't really necessary unless you suspect the box might encounter water.  

The file has a set of mouse ears to keep the allen key slots from warping, that will need to be cut away. It is only one layer thick and should be easy to remove using the snips that came with the printer. 

Update 2 Mar 2024 Added an insert that fits into the lid to keep the hex keys in place when the box is jostled around.
