Description
My wife does nails (manicures/pedicures/etc) for a living and this makeup case was provided by the shop owner for all of the nail techs to keep all of their tools in one easy to use case for pedicures.
The techs loved the ease of use of the case but they were all pretty unhappy with the fact that the drawers are velvet-lined and most of their tools end up being wet and generally kind of gross. They wanted a way to keep the water from getting on the liner so that it would be easy to clean. So I drew up some drawer liners that can be easily (and cheaply) printed in standard PLA.
The liners come in 3 sizes, one for each drawer of the case, they also come in 3 variations of each size: 1 with smooth sides without slots for dividers (which will yield slightly more room in the drawer), one with slots for short dividers along the width of each liner, and one with slots for long dividers along the length of the box. I have also included files for the dividers matched to each drawer and each slot variation.
Each drawer has holes built high up on the sides to make removal for cleaning easy. Make sure to rotate the box so that the flat bottom is on the print bed and you will not need any supports for any of these files.
I think these could prove useful for many things, easy to clean makeup dividers for makeup technicians, or even as an easy to organize small parts storage for on the go. I really hope someone else finds them as useful as the nail techs I’ve been printing these for.
Happy Making!
