Brickorama

Brickorama is a collection of DUPLO based bricks where one can put Instax MINI photos in. Build a house for your memories, and decorate it by printing other DUPLO compatible models (or take bricks from your kids, I am not judging).

It comes in horizontal and vertical variants. There are 3 different frame types available: With DUPLO pegs for decoration purposes, without pegs for a cleaner look, or with LEGO pegs for even more decoration options. Care was taken to ensure that LEGO bricks can be put on the DUPLO pegs.

These bricks can be a great addition to large celebrations, such as weddings, by taking advantage of the unique property of instant cameras to make photos on the spot: Print bricks and frames before the party. Let the guests take pictures of themselves during the evening, and tell them to put them in bricks and to add the bricks to the construction. At the end of the evening, there will (hopefully) be a house with photos of the guests on it.

The bricks were play-tested by a group of three small children and there was no issue so far.

Assembly

Print a brick and a frame. Put the photo in the brick. Slide the screen on the photo. Add decorations/other bricks to your liking (roof and door bricks not included in the model).

Print considerations

Bricks should be printed vertically. No support is needed but a brim might be necessary. I tested the fits on my printer, but you might want to adjust the XY-compensation to get a good fit. Blocks in picture were printed with PLA, mostly from Devil Design, but there is some ROSA copper and Prusament Jet Black in there as well.

Final Note

Current version only has frames for Instax MINI photos. If you wish to have this brick for another form factor, just DM me and I will make it for you :)
