Downdraft Dust & Fume Collector / Extractor

I make a mess at my desk when I'm sanding 3d printed resin parts. There are also a lot of fumes when I use a soldering iron to smooth out FDM prints or when I solder wires together.

This design is my attempt to make a simple 20x20cm downdraft dust / fume extractor that doesn't require a motor or any wiring. You can simply attach any vacuum that has a 1.25 inch connector to the port and all the dust will be sucked into your vacuum.

I have a hepa filter on my vaccum, so this should be very useful.
