Description
If you're looking for my Bambu print profile, you'll find it at MW.
A thread extender and guide designed for use with large thread spools that don’t fit on the machine.
When large spools sit behind the machine, the thread often gets pinched or pulled at sharp angles—and the spool can tip over. This extender raises and redirects the thread path for smoother feeding and more consistent operation.
Designed to my wife’s specifications for real-world use.
Guides thread cleanly from large spools behind the machine
Reduces pinching and sharp thread angles
Helps prevent spool tipping
Mounts to the machine handle (no modification required)
Designed around a Brother sewing machine, but compatible with others using a similar handle
Clamp fits an approximately 20.5mm × 15.5mm elliptical handle
Flexible design allows slight variation in fit
Tightens via integrated screw (optional)
Clamp is shaped to grip the handle securely—even without a bolt
Bolt and nut are optional
Works well without them in typical use
Metal hardware can be used if additional clamping force is desired
A printable screw is included
Clamp and extension rod are separate parts
Rod inserts with slight clearance
Allows for custom or alternative clamp designs if needed
Layer height: 0.20 mm
Walls: 4
Infill: Gyroid, 25%
Supports: None
Files are pre-oriented for printing
Extension rod has minimal bed contact, so you may wish to use a brim but it's not required with normal bed adhesion.
