Description
🇳🇱 Welkom in Nederland!
Â
This model was designed by Dany Sánchez.
Euromast is an observation tower in Rotterdam, Netherlands, designed by Hugh Maaskant, built between 1958 and 1960, specially for the 1960 Floriade, a horticulture event.
The tower is a concrete structure with an internal diameter of 9 m (30 ft). It has a "crow's nest" observation platform 96 m (315 ft) above ground and a restaurant. Originally 101 m (331 ft), it gained an additional 85 m (279 ft) in 1970 when the Space Tower was added to the top of the building, bringing it to a total height of 186 m (610 ft). Euromast was the highest building of the Netherlands until 2021, when it was surpassed by De Zalmhaven, also in Rotterdam. It is also a member of the World Federation of Great Towers (from Wikipedia).
