Description
The HP P3005 LaserJet printer is an old workhorse. However, after many pages it may become necessary to replace the fuser drive gears, about a $15 fix. One of the gears is retained by a little clip HP calls the "thrust stopper." The gear replacement instructions warn you not to drop the clip inside the printer...
Not willing to spend $10 for a tiny piece of plastic nor wait weeks for shipping from China, I designed a replacement. This part has many inscrutable features. What do they do? Are they all necessary? Who knows? But not one to second-guess HP engineers I attempted to faithfully reproduce every detail of the clip.
I used PLA through a 0.2mm nozzle running at 2400mm/min and it printed really well. Works just like the original.
