Description

Just another Y-Splitter for the Bambu Lab P1 and X1 Series

it is to be used with PC4-M10/MF10 connectors

i designed this model since none of the available models 100% satisfied my needs and i needed some stable solution for external feeding from a Sunlu S2 Filament Dryer and the AMS

BOM

  • 2 x original screws for PTFE coupler
  • 3 x PC4-M10 connectors (Amazon Affiliate Link)

keep in mind most PC4 connectors with “M10” threads actually have M10x1,0 and not M10x1,5 threads, so they are actually MF10 - if you are unsure about your connectors, make a test print of the thread first and see if it fits

Printing

Upright with the “bottom”  side of the Y facing downwards

use tree supports only on build plate

print it with minimal layer height - preferrably with a somewhat ductile filament, PETG, ABS or ASA works well

Assembly

  • Thread the PC4-M10 Connectors in the 3 openings, gently tighten them
  • insert some silicone tubes into the connectors and guide a piece of filament (preferably anything hard like PLA or PC) through mulitple times to smooth out the fray opening on the side facing the extruder
  • remove the silicone tubes and the connectors again and remove any loose debries
  • reassemble and install them with the original screws from the original filament guide

Credits

Thx to @Harald Geisler who provided my with the step files for his splitter, made the process in figuring out the internal geometry much easier
