Description
There are lots of laptops stands designed so you can elevate the laptop and/or its screen, e.g. to use as a second screen to an external monitor. This stand was to address the problem where the laptop requires ventilation but needs to stay close to the level of the desk, especially if the lid is closed e.g. when placed under a monitor stand.
The 4-degree incline of the stand provides sufficient airflow clearance while not markedly increasing the laptop height. Bumps on the front edge of the stand prevent the laptop from sliding off.
Print parts A and B and they will snap together (no glue required). Note: be careful when removing from the bed and removing the supports inside the small cut-outs in stand A as the outer edges of the cutouts can break easily.
The standard sized stand is suitable for larger laptops like a Macbook Pro, while the small version is not as deep and works well with 14" laptops.
The model is best printed on its back (i.e. with the feet facing up) to reduce support filament. It should fit on a 256x256mm print bed.
Prints well with PLA, 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, with 15% infill, and two outer wall loops.
