Counterweight for DJI Ronin RSC2

Uses standard M8x10mm screws as counterweights, I used the low profile variant that weighs in at around 7 grams each for a variable weight of 49 grams.

The prints, two threaded M5 inserts, and two M5x25mm screws add another 31 grams for a total weight of 80 grams.

I've dimensioned the holes for the clamping screws to work with most M5 heat-set inserts, like the ones from 3DVerkstan, Ruthex, or CNC Kitchen. The maximum length of the insert is around 10mm.

The holes for the M8 screws are printed directly into the model and are intentionally sized so they should not need to be forced in.

Print settings:

• Best printed in 0.1mm layer height to make the M8 threads clean.
• Print each piece flat on their back.

Bill of materials:

• 2pcs Threaded inserts M5
• 2pcs M5x25 screws (anything between M5x18 and M5x25, with most heads, works in practice)
• 7pcs M8x10mm socket head screws, either low profile or standard profile socket head.

I used a 3D Scan of the DJI RSC2 that I did with my Einstar 3D Scanner as a base for modeling and checking for interference, you can see some of it in the pictures.
