Description

This is a project I've been working on for a few weeks, to utilize a hexagonal chainmail I designed, to make a Baldric sash/belt, like the kind you might see in Star Trek or other scifi. Worf wears one, but so do many other characters. Historically, they were used to hold supplies or weapons attached to them.

The pattern comes in 3 main pieces, with 3 connection links for attaching them together. The whole thing is printed twice, to make the front and back of the sash!

This design can be worn on either shoulder, and is reversible, meaning it can be turned inside-out for a different look. If printed on a glass bed, the bottom faces will have a nice shiny rim around each hexagon, otherwise the top face also shines in a nice way. So use whichever side looks nice to you.

The different linkers, linker1 and linker2 are mirrors of each other, so they can match the same face directions as the parts they connect too. Whereas the diaglink works either way.

The linkers should be relatively easy to snap together, sometimes just need a little gentle wiggling/rocking to get them to connect. Careful not to use too much force when connecting, or they might snap. They should hold fine and not come undone on their own, once attached. However you can also use a 3d printing pen, to close the loops, if you like. I also used PLA+ for mine, to make it a little stronger.
