Description
This is a work in progress project that is almost done (currently in testing stage).
Update December 23, 2024
I tried running the project on the latest version of FreeCAD and it does not work, I will try to free up some time to fix it later. In the meantime I uploaded some pre-exported step files.
Things to be done:
1. Fix the offset issue (this is affecting thickness and tolerances)
2. Organize and optimize the spreadsheets
3. Add min and max values to all fields to make it fool proof
This project uses lattice2 Workbench which you easily install from inside FreeCAD:
The project contains 2 Spreadsheets at the moment (I might split them up into smaller spreadsheets).
I will document each parameter once the project is done.
Some parameters are marked as “Do not modify”, these are derived from other parameters and must not be touched.
To export a Step file, select of the objects in the model navigation bar, click on File in the toolbar, and click on export.
At the moment, all the models in Section1 or Section2 are inside a single compound object and will be exported as a single Step file. The reason for this is that I haven't found a way to explode the compound in a parametric way (will research it more). At the moment if you explode the compound and change the number of sections from 5 to 6, you will end up with a missing section.
As a workaround, I export it as a single STEP file, import it to Bambu Studio (or any other Prusa Slicer fork), orient it the correct way, right click on it, hover over split, and select the option “into objects”.
