No supports needed
Any material really should work. Might want to use PETG/PAHT or some other resistant material versus PLA, but even PLA should be fine since it's inside the magazine.
15-25% infill should be fine
The nipple that sticks through the exterior plate is a little longer than original steel interior floor plate, but works just fine. If you want it shorter you can easily sand it down.
