Description

Here you are the 7th part of my Jawa-ČZ 250/353.02 build.

Hope the 6th part was fun for you :)

https://www.printables.com/cs/model/802455-project-jawa-cz-kyvacka-25035302-part-no6-rear-mud

As usual the model part consist a big parts but the very small also so pay attention to the description and attached pictures. As usual be extremely careful during the assembly itself and work slowly and cautiously.
If you manage to damage or break some part despite being extra careful you should "weld" it with a soldering gun rather than gluing it with super glue.

For today I prepared to you the wheels - the most difficult parts of whole model so work slowly and carefully. Before each glue try to assembly all parts together and make sure that all parts fit.

If you will need more pictures for better understanding, you can see here:

https://www.rajce.idnes.cz/jawarmaniak/album/jawa-tisk

at first we started with the easier parts for frame - chain tensioners

Printing instruction:

  • chain_tensioner_L - 1 piece, chrome PLA, 100% infill, 0.15-0.2 layer.
  • chain_tensioner_R - 1 piece, chrome PLA, 100% infill, 0.15-0.2 layer.

Assembly instruction:

  • Cut the head from 2pcs of screws M2 to get he threaded rod M2-12mm.
  • Glue this rods into printed holes in the both chain tensioners with super glue.
  • Set the parts aside for now.

at second we can print the chain guard

  • Install the front_wheel_bearing_cap.
  • Prepare threaded rod M4-52mm long and glue on one end front_wheel_shaft
  • Set the parts aside for now.

Now you can install all prepared parts on the bike.

  • Install both chain tensioners (the round hole belongs to the left). You need 2 M2 nuts for each side

  • install rear brake drum and rear brake shield into rear fork and fix them by LOW nut M8 (if is necessary, you can grind it to height 3-4mm)
  • Slide both halves of the chain cover onto the brake drum.
  • Slide the chain_cover_holder from the previous sequel onto the front end.
  • screw the chain_cover_holder to the engine using two screws M1.6-5.
  • Screw right engine cover by M2-40 and M2-20 screws. I recommend to use DIN 84 standard with head for flat screw.
  • On the rear side screw both parts of the chain guard by M1.6-3 and the nut.
  • Insert rear wheel and rear_wheel_spacer
  • Insert rear wheel shaft from right side an from left side slide M5 shim and screw LOW M5 nut.
  • Now insert the front brake shield into the front hub. Insert the wheel assembly into the front fork.
  • Slide the front wheel axle from the right side.
  • Insert the M4 washer from the left side and screw on the low M4 nut. Do not tighten yet!
  • Into front left dumper insert M2-10 screw with nut and tighten.
  • Tighten the nut on front wheel axle.

AND… That's it.. Now your bike can stand on the wheels :)

  • 1x nut M1.6
  • 7x nut M2
  • 1x LOW nut M4 DIN 439
