Description
Whether in the workshop or the pottery studio, with one measurement you can get the inner and outer diameter of any piece! Perfect for making two pieces match so they fit together, whether that be pottery lids on teapots, wooden jars, or any inner and outer pieces.
Can also be used to ensure that pieces are all the same size, or any other measurement-related use you can think of!
Printing Instructions:
Lay the pieces on the bed according to the layout image above.
I used 0.1mm layer height for the screw thread, but any layer height should work.
I used 25% infill, but any infill 15% and up would work.
Note: The screw must be printed with the flat part of the screw on the bed. This will ensure the piece is strongest.
Tolerances are already taken into account, so just print and assemble.
Assembly Instructions:
Place the two long pieces together, so the post on Side 1 goes through the hole in Side 2. Then take the screw piece and screw it through, so the handle side of the screw is up flush with Side 2.
To Use:
Place the caliper against the piece you want to measure, then tighten the screw to lock the measurement in place. Then you can use the opposite side to get the inner/outer diameter of a piece to match. Can be used to make lids for jars or teapots, or when manufacturing many of the same sized item.
