Tiny clothespin - single print in place part

It's a tiny clothespin, but as a single part and print-in-place. It uses a ‘snake-bite' to hold material together because it doesn't have any extra force pushing the clamp closed.

The force is much less then you'd get from a clothespin with a metal spring inside (or at least one that has a separate part to tension it.) Use it when you know that you only need very little clamping force or have a somewhat stiff/thick cloth to hold in place. Can also be used to close chip bags and such. Or use it as a case study for your own clothespin designs!

How to print

• For 0.6 nozzle: use 3 perimeters
• For 0.4 nozzle: use 4 or 5 perimeters
• DO NOT use any top or bottom layers
• DO NOT use any infill
  • This parts gains it's strength and springiness from the perimeters alone!
• Stay away from brittle materials for this model; PETG has been tested and works great.
