Description
This is a folding straight edge (-ish) knife that can be used as a utility knife.
It uses single edge razor blades ( the rectangular ones).
I've included all needed print settings and orientations in the .3mf file (Orcaslicer). I'd recommend that as it will be tedious to input all settings manually.
Layer height: 0.08mm (or whatever's the closest on your machine). I would not recommend printing in larger layer heights like 0.2mm.
Wall generator: Arachne
Wall printing order : outer/inner
Wall loops: 3
Detect thin walls: on
Part 1 & Part 2 (blade_holder_bottom & blade_holder_top):
Sparse infill density: 20%
Sparse infill pattern: rectilinear
Part 3 (Cover) :
Sparse infill density: 25%
Sparse infill pattern: gyroid
Support: on (Tree auto)
Part 4 & 5 ( Bolt & Nut):
Wall printing order: Inner/outer
Print infill first: on
Sparse infill density: 100%
Brim: outer brim only
To insert the blade into the knife, you will first have to remove the metal cover on the blunt edge of the blade. Do this by inserting (another) blade between the cover and the blade (go under the cover), and prying up. Do this at these two points, and the cover should come off.
After that, insert the blade into the knife
Slide the top part on.
Screw together all the parts with the printed screw.
You can adjust how free the blade swings by tightening / loosening the screw.
