Plate Stand for PCR & Cell Culture

This angled stand improves ergonomics when loading PCR or cell culture plates in the laboratory. It also makes it much easier to see into the bottom of small wells while working which can help prevent costly mistakes. It serves the same function as one of the ridiculously overpriced well plate stands made by several scientific suppliers.

My favorite is the 50° angle version, and at this point I'd never choose to do PCR without it. I've used it or something similar for loading 100+ plates.

I printed in PETG out of an abundance of caution since it is resistant to degradation by most chemicals, but I'm sure it would be fine in PLA too.

I've attached STEP and Fusion360 (f3d) files for easier editing as well. In the Fusion file, you can adjust the parameter “RearInclineHeight” to change the angle of incline as desired.
