Description
Daughter's dog-washing trailer has a weird piece of 40x40 SHS steel sticking out both sides for no apparent reason - other than to damage people's shins who walk by a bit too close…
After banging my shin on the end of the steel a few times, I printed up flexible TPU ‘bumpers’ to slide over the ‘raw’ ends of the projecting steel to protect unsuspecting victims from greater injury.
I printed them in bright Yellow TPU. Yellow for the visual cues and TPU for the ‘softness’ to limit the injury and anguish should someone's shin strike the steel again.
They just slip over the ends of the SHS steel tube. Print in TPU. No supports required. Two perimeters is plenty and I used 15% grid as the infill. So far so good ;-)
