K40 40W Laser Mechanical End Stop Upgrade

This is a mechanical X and Y End Stop upgrade for the K40 40W CO2 laser.
The original K40 is equipped with one mechanical end stop for the X axis and one optical end stop for the Y axis; with origin at the upper left corner.
This end stop upgrade moves origin to the lower left (as on most CNC machines) and combines the two end stops to one, mounted on the end of the X axis.

As a benefit the working area can be expanded by trimming the mechanical tube end stops.

Only needs two new M3 tapped mounting holes for the mount and some small screws for micro switches.

Print Settings

• 0.20mm layer height, 25% infill
• 2 perimeters, 3 top and 2 bottom layers
• No support or elephant foot compensation needed

Post-Printing

Use printed model to mark position of M3 mounting holes. Drill with 2.5mm drill and tap.
End stop for Y axis reuses existing hole.

Rewiring from micro switches required.
