Description
This is a 3D printable portafilter handle modeled after the standard La Marzocco handles. I printed these in Hatchbox Wood, sanded them with 150 grit sandpaper, stained them with dark walnut wood stain, and finished them with spray can lacquer.
I've also designed printable Synesso MVP Paddles and Wand Levers
Any print setting should work, but I used 200um layers and 100% infill so that the handle would have a good weight to it.
I printed my in Hatchbox Wood, snapped it with 150 grit sandpaper, started it with dark walnut wood stain, and finished it with spray can lacquer. Don't sand much past 150 grit if you use the same filament as me. I found that it didn't take the stain as well and looked less like would if sanded past 150 grit.
The hole in the handle fits 12mm x 100mm threaded rode with a 1.75 pitch. Threads as you screw in, should be a very tight fit. I found the threaded rod at my local hardware store.
