WHAT

This is a collection of two modiffications of Vidroc 808 c by Works-of-Claye.
--> https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3714060 <--

The fist mod is "Vidroc 808 c 35mm.stl". This can be used to mount the Vidroc to a Klima 35mm tube.

The second mod is "Vidroc 808#32 tray.stl". This tray has been slightly adjusted for the 808#32 camera.

The third file, "Vidroc 808 c cap.stl", has been reuploaded unchanged for convenience.

HOW

printing:

Vidroc 808 c 35mm.stl - no supports, 0.2mm lyers

Vidroc 808#32 tray.stl - supports on build plate, 0.2mm layers

Vidroc 808 c cap.stl - supports on build plate, 0.2mm layers

use:

Vidroc 808 c 35mm.stl

This is a drop in replacement for the original part. I used a piece of wire to make an attachment loop for the parachute and a piece of filament to secure the cap in place.

Vidroc 808#32 tray.stl

The 808#32 (available here --> https://ebay.to/2XEWAKv <-- ) comes with a very short ribbon cable on the camera module. Because of that, you will need an extension cable (available here --> https://ebay.to/3DatG5l <-- ).

Diassemble the camera, remove the batery and disconnect the camera module. Plug in the extension cable, connect the camera module to it, reconnect the batery. Slide the camera module into the U shaped holder, careful not to damage the ribbon cable. It should click in place. __During this whole procedure, keep the lens cap on.__

Slide the logic board in place, keeping the batery under it. Secure with three short pieces of filament.

Put the tray in. It won't budge at first, because the miniUSB connector doesn't quite fit into the tube.

Put the cap on. Secure with a piece of filament, long enough to stick out on both sides. Use a soldering iron to melt those ends to create something akin to a rivet.

Plug the newly assembled Vidroc into your computer, and use mSetup to turn on Motion Detect, with normal sensitivity and a 5 second timeout. You might also want to remove the timestamp while you are doing setup.

You  can operate the power/mode button with a piece of filament. Once the camera is on and in Video mode, removing the lens cap will automatically trigger the motion detect feature and the camera will start recording. Once the rocket lands and settles, the video recording will automatically end and save.
