Description
I wanted a more “Industrial” looking case for my 12.9 M2 iMac. I no longer have a bigger 350mm printer so had to design it in pieces to fit smaller 250mm printers - hopefully this'll make it more accessible for more people to make.
This case obviously adds a lot of bulk to the iPad but that's the main look I was going for. This meant that I had to make new buttons to extend the almost flush buttons of the iPad - TPU worked out great for this.
I've added the various STL's but if you use Bambu Studio or Orca Slicer I've included the complete project as well, with the MMU trim if you'd like to add a bit of flair to the look.
You'll need 16 x M3x4ODx5ID heatset inserts and 16 x M3x10 Flat Head Cap Screws. I've printed this out of PLA but PETG would probably give it a bit more impact resistance (I hate the stuff so never use it). For proper fit it's important for your printer to be tuned properly. If you use other materials (like ABS) you'll have to compensate for shrinkage.
